Make Money With Forums
Here is a little known, and very little used technique that can get you loads of targeted trafffic without having to pay a single cent.
You can get free traffic by becoming active on fitness and weight loss forums.
If you do this the right way, and don't spam the forum, you will get loads of people clicking through your affiliate link.
Here is how it works:
On almost every forum in the world, you are allowed to add something in your signature.
For those of you who don't know, a signature is a little box that posts underneath every topic you post to on the forum. You can use this little signature to advertise the 20/20/20 Diet and if it's done properly, you can make a very good living doing so.
Here are some guidlines:
1. No Spam
Don't blatantly spam the forum. Don't go in and post an ad to the forum. If you're not providing useful information, nobody is going to pay attention, and if you're spamming, chances are, you'll be banned.
This doesn't mean you can't mention that you tried a program that really worked, but if it looks like you're blatantly advertising, chances are, it won't be tolerated.
2. Give out real information.
If somebody has a question, situation or topic you can actually add something to, by all means, do it. But don't just respond with something useless to get your signature seen. Forums are a place of community and if you're not using them as such, you might be ignored.
3. Go Big or Go Home
If you're going to be posting to forums, join the big forums that have lots of members and people in your chosen niche. Your message will get in front of a lot more people this way.
4. Follow The Rules
Read the rules before becoming active on any forum. I have personally made the mistake of joining forums and posting a link in my signature only to be slammed by mods and members because the forum didn't allow any links in the signature. They considered any link in the signature that led to any sales page to be spam.
5. Respond as quickly as possible and get to as many new posts as possible
Your goal is to wow people with your knowledge base, expertise and your willingness to share. Doing this will result in more clickthroughs because of the trust you will build. Get in there and get active if you really want to see good traffic from these sites.
6. Get involved with "Mega Posts"
There are always a few on the forums. You find a post that has 10, 20 or 30 pages and everybody is chiming in. Get a converstaion or two going because these posts are viewed often and by everybody. Even people who don't belong to the forum will comb through these posts and if you can get your affiliate links in front of them, you will increase your chances of getting a click.
7. If they allow it, Use HTML links
This is a great way to get your links noticed format them similar to this:

Replace the XXXXX with your affiliate id.
Chances are after a some posting and reading, you will see other peoples signatures and get an idea of what's working and what's not. Then you can tweak yours and test it to see what works for you.
8. Help Out
I can't stress it enough, so I'll say it again. The most important part of forum posting is becoming a part of the community and making real connections where you give people real supoort and feedback, this the real secret to success with forum posting.
