You see, most people think the best workouts to shrink your midsection are exercises that actually focus on your midsection.

But here’s the real truth: Abs exercises just don’t cause enough change in your body to give you significant fat loss.

If I had to answer the question straight out and tell you the best exercises to burn belly fat, I would advise you to do things like squats, lunges, sprints and even more specifically, high intensity interval workouts.

These kind of full body exercises will kick your butt into shape much quicker than a couple of crunches will because they cause a much higher metabolic response. They will do more to shrink your waistline than if you just do targeted abs workouts.
