The Best Exercises For Getting Rid of Belly Fat - If You Think It's Crunches, You're Dead Wrong.

You may think, like much of the world, that the best exercise to lose belly fat is crunches or cardio. Surprisingly, this is not true. In fact, crunches have very little effect on belly fat, and cardio is not as effective as some other methods. So what can you do to burn fat fast?

While most people will try to use cardio, like running on a treadmill or riding an exercise bike, there is a much better way to burn fat in a much shorter time. This can be accomplished by building muscle. But how can resistance exercise, be more effective than flat out running or crunches?

You don't have to get big and bulky, or be the Incredible Hulk, but lifting weights and building muscle will make you lose belly fat much faster than cardio. This is because unlike a treadmill, resistance exercises can keep your body burning fat for up to 72 hours after you workout. 72 HOURS!!!! That's pretty impressive, and something most people trying to tighten their stomach never know about.

So, what exercises are best for fast fat burning? You will get the best results if you focus on compound exercises like squats, rows and bench press. This is because these exercises build muscle in several areas of your body and the more muscle you build, the more fat you will be burning. If you use isolation exercises, like curls, to build muscle, it will take you much longer to build total body muscle, which will slow down your fat burning.

Doing cardio and crunches won't get you the results you may want because the best exercise to lose belly fat is compound muscle building exercises. Doing these exercises will get your body burning fat and building muscle, and just a few workouts a week will get you almost immediate changes in your midsection.
