Lose Weight Quick Tips - How to Lose Weight Real Quick and Keep it Off
by Ryan M Hall Fat Loss Expert and Author of The 20/20/20 Diet
Today we are constantly promised that some magic pill or super machine will make us lose weight quickly without having to diet or exercise. Of course, those of us who have fallen for the diet scams know that these products, pills and potions just don't work, but if we don't want to lose weight without using over promising and under delivering diet products, what can we do?
There are really 3 easy steps to follow when you want to lose weight. You have to follow a proven diet plan, you should build muscle with weight training, and you absolutely must get plenty of rest. If you want to run on a treadmill for hours, you can and it will probably help, but you don't need to do that to lose weight. Whether you want to lose 2 lbs a week or 10 lbs a week, you can do it, it just depends on how much you have to lose and how closely you follow your plan.
Diet
Changing your diet is the first step to losing weight, after all, it's a little tough to change your body without changing your diet. Whether you have tried diets in the past, or this is your first time trying to lose weight, you should know that cutting carbs or fat out of the diet isn't the best idea. You may want to reduce them, but getting rid of them completely is unhealthy and dangerous and will only lead to more weight gain later. If you really want to burn fat, eat more green vegetables, although they aren't usually everybody's favorite, they keep you full for hours and are very low in calories.
Resistance Exercise
You don't have to become the Incredible Hulk, but lifting weights will burn fat much more efficiently than running for hours will. This is because when you lift weights, you burn calories during the workout and for hours, sometimes up to 72 hours, after the workout, whereas with cardio, you usually only burn calories during the workout and just afterward. Building muscle burns the calories for days vs. hours, this alone should be enough to make you consider a resistance training regimen.
Rest
Rest?! That doesn't make sense, I'm not going to workout in my sleep am I? Nope, you don't even have to go to sleep to rest the way I'm talking about. You see, the problem many people have when they decide to lose weight is they try too hard in the beginning and burn out very quickly, leaving them fat and feeling like a failure. Don't do this to yourself. Give yourself a day or two between workouts so that your body can rest and rebuild, then go back and exercise again. This rest is just time between workouts, but if you want to take a nap, be my guest.
Dieting, building muscle and getting plenty of rest are sure fire ways to lose weight quickly. Follow these steps and get a proven diet and exercise plan and you will be a thinner healthier you in no time. It takes comittment, but it doesn't have to be hard. All you have to do is get a plan and follow it, it can work for you.
