Is High Fructose Corn Syrup Bad For You?

by Ryan M Hall Fat Loss Expert and Author of The 20/20/20 Diet

If you’ve watched TV in the United States lately, you’ve probably seen the commercials made to try to make High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS) look better in the public eye. HFCS has taken quite a beating from dieticians, doctors, and even a few well made documentaries on the subject, and the companies that use it are trying to fool us all into believing this junk is healthy.

When you see the High Fructose Corn Syrup commercials, they say things like..

“It’s made from corn”

“It has just the same amount of calories as sugar.”

“It’s all natural, what’s the fuss?”

These statements are all made to try to make us believe that HFCS is actually good for us. After all, how could something that is all natural and made from corn be bad for us?

High Fructose Corn Syrup is in the majority of processed foods and is the main ingredient in all soda, candy, and most other sweet snacks. It replaces sugar in almost everything because it is cheaper than sugar and the companies supporting it’s use, and the ridiculous ad campaigns promoting it, are filling their pockets with money from the people they are lying to, the very same people they are hurting.

You read that right, hurting. HFCS helps contribute to Obesity, Diabetes, Heart Disease, Respiratory problems, High Cholesterol, and a huge list of other problems that we just don’t have the space here to discuss.

All of this is beside the main point here. They say “High Fructose Corn Syrup is no worse than sugar” as if that should put our fears to rest. Since when is sugar a good thing? When you want your kids to have a healthy snack, do you hand them a candy bar or an apple? The apple, because we all know instinctively that sugar isn’t good for us, but suddenly, HFCS is just as good and we shrug our shoulders and keep eating it.

Don’t be fooled, Sugar is bad, HFCS is much, much worse. Both of them will make you fat, unhealthy, and eventually…Dead.

Before you buy the lie, think about how healthy that soda or snack really is, and think long and hard if eating something full of sugar or HFCS is going to help you slim down and get rid of your belly fat.
