20 Days to Lose Fat and Build Muscle

So, you have a deadline, for whatever reason, you have 20 days to lose fat and build muscle. Maybe you have a wedding coming up, a big social event or your class reunion, and the date snuck up on you. Now suddenly, you have less than 3 weeks to look your best. Here are the Steps you should take to lose fat:

1. Don't Panic. Despite what some gurus might say, losing fat in 20 days and building muscle can be done, but you have to stay committed, and be diligent if you want to lose more than 2 lbs a week.

2. Now that you're motivated, and committed, get a journal and start writing down everything that you eat. This way you can actually physically see what you're doing right and what you're doing wrong. You won't lose fat and gain muscle in 20 days without being accountable for everything that you do.

3. Eat at least 4-5 times a day. This will speed up your metabolism, and allow you to eat smaller meals because you will be eating often, every couple of hours. Realize that this doesn't have to be a full meal if you're not hungry, a little handful of nuts or carrots or broccoli is a great snack and will really speed up your fat loss.

4. Snack Before Each Meal and drink 1 glass of ice water. This may sound odd but if you drink a small protein shake or eat a handful of nuts with a glass of water before every meal, you won't be as hungry during the meal, meaning that you will eat less at meal time. This also means you'll be filling up on healthy foods that keep you full. Junk foods, fast foods, and foods high in carbs and bad fats and oils actually make you more hungry, that's why it's so important to get the right food and fill up on it first.

5. Drink More Water! Cut out soda, fruit juice, and sugar filled coffee and drink ICE Water. Ice water will speed up your metabolism because of how cold it is, but if it isn't iced, switching from these unhealthy, and sometimes seemingly healthy drinks will let you shed a few lbs right from the start. Get rid of any drink that has sugar and chemicals, and you'll be in much better shape.

6. Now for the part we all hate - You Have to Exercise. Join a gym, do some body weight exercises, or get a program, but whatever you do, if you've only got 20 days to build muscle, then you're going to have to get to it now.

If you find yourself in a spot where you're saying, "AAAAhhhh Help! I only have 20 days to burn fat and build muscle," remember, it can be done if you're diligent and follow the above steps. If you don't think you can do it alone, or don't have the know how to build muscle properly, get a program, get a coach, and it will be as easy as pie!
